Bill Fandrich

SVP and Chief Information Officer, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan

Bill Fandrich is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s senior vice president and chief information officer. He is responsible for the critical operations and strategic leadership of enterprise IT and analytics for BCBSM and its subsidiaries. Over the course of his career, Fandrich has worked to strengthen the relationship between business and IT with an eye toward the needs of the health care market.

Fandrich has more than 30 years of experience in health care and information technology. Previously, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer for Beacon Health Options and served in previous leadership roles for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and CIGNA HealthCare.
He holds an MBA in health care information technology from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree in math, computer science and physics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Fandrich was named Large Enterprise winner of the 2021 Michigan CIO ORBIE® Awards and a 2022 National ORBIE® Awards finalist.
