Julia Cheek is the Founder and CEO of Everly Health, the digital health company at the forefront of the virtual diagnostics-driven care industry. Julia founded Everlywell, the consumer brand of Everly Health, in 2015 to provide consumers access to affordable at-home lab tests that include insightful, easy-to-understand results. Everly Health and its consumer and enterprise brands have served tens of millions of people and support dozens of major health plans to close gaps in care.
Julia has raised $500M in venture capital funding as a solo female founder and built Everlywell to reach “unicorn” status in four years from launch. She has received awards from Entrepreneur Magazine and Inc. Magazine and was named one of Fortune Magazine’s 40 Under 40 in Healthcare for her work in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Forbes Magazine named Julia one of 10 Women to Watch in 2021, alongside some of the world’s foremost scientists and political leaders.
A seasoned entrepreneur who has taken the stage at conferences like Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit, HLTH, and SXSW, she is passionate about increasing access to healthcare and inspiring the next generation of women and diverse leaders. Julia serves on the Board of Directors for Headspace Health and the President’s Innovation Board at The University of Texas at Austin. She is also an investor in 20 healthcare startups, with an emphasis on those led by underrepresented founders.
Julia attended Vanderbilt University and earned her MBA from Harvard Business School, where she graduated as a Baker Scholar with high distinction. Based in Austin, Texas, she’s focused on two things: running Everly Health and being a mom.
