As a response to the Nashville Health Care Council encouraging the engagement of young professionals in the healthcare industry, Michael Hollis, senior vice president of business development at emids, founded the League, an exclusive group of up-and-coming leaders in Nashville’s healthcare industry.
The League is an invitation-only, leadership-networking group for young professionals ages 25–45. Members come from all sectors of the healthcare industry, ranging from project managers to lawyers, and many have connections to healthcare information technology, says Rebekah Panepinto, senior director of business development at emids. Biannual networking events give members the opportunity to debate issues, promote each other, and foster real collaboration among various sub-segments within the rapidly changing healthcare industry.
Healthcare visionary Clay Richards, CEO of naviHealth, Inc., will be speaking to The League, an exclusive group of young professionals in the healthcare industry, on how to navigate the healthcare technology industry at an upcoming breakfast.
emids is committed to investing in thought leadership opportunities. In April, Hollis represented emids at the Health Evolution Summit in Laguna Niguel, Calif., where he had the opportunity to meet with some of the nation’s most prominent business leaders in the healthcare industry and participate in discussions about how to improve the industry. In March, emids joined a delegation of 100 members of Leadership Health Care, an initiative of the Nashville Health Care Council, in Washington, D.C., for an inside look at the latest healthcare policy developments and the expected impact on the Nashville healthcare industry. emids’ annual Healthcare Summit and CMA Celebration is a two-day networking and thought leadership event that brings together leading executives from the industry to explore consumerism and other critical issues shaping healthcare.
