Healthcare consumerism has come a long way, but the next era of patient empowerment is still on the horizon. Learn all about it from industry experts on the front lines of this changing landscape at the upcoming emids Healthcare Summit and CMA Celebration, taking place Nov. 7–8 at the Hilton Nashville Downtown hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.
Now in its fourth year, the annual two-day event brings together thought leaders from healthcare and beyond to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing payers, providers, health IT vendors and life sciences firms today as they adapt to the needs of empowered healthcare consumers. Speakers scheduled for this year’s event include executives from CVS Health, AiCure, Virta Health, Lyft, Nike, Orangetheory Fitness and former acting administrator of the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services Andy Slavitt. Panel topics include:
- How healthcare organizations are improving consumer experience through digitization
- The role of artificial intelligence in care coordination
- Care delivery and how the shift to value-based care is revolutionizing it
- How organizations are using data to drive innovation
The invite-only event is attended by more than 150 executives representing more than 90 companies across the healthcare ecosystem and around the world. Participants can engage in panel discussions that drive conversations on innovation, technology and trends impacting the industry now and in the future. They also have the chance to meet and mingle at exclusive networking breaks throughout the event.
Healthcare consumerism and how organizations are using technology to navigate it has been the theme of past summits, which have featured executive panelists from Fitbit, Google, Uber, Walgreen, Aetna and Allscripts. This year’s Summit will take those discussions a step further by focusing on how CEOs and executives throughout healthcare are balancing provider, payer and patient accountability to create more value and better outcomes for the future healthcare consumer.
Because Nashville is known not only as the U.S. healthcare industry capital, but also Music City, we’ll close out the Summit with a party on a downtown Nashville rooftop, where we’ll be live-streaming the 51st Annual Country Music Association Awards (CMA) show.
