Senior Sharepoint and DotNet Developer
emids is partnered with a growing innovator in the healthcare IT sector, in their search for a SharePoint/.Net Architect/Development resource to join their team.
This role will provide system analysis and design, architecture and support in the development and integration of SharePoint and C#.NET applications.
- Define requirements, analyze, design, develop, implement and enhance SharePoint/.NET web application systems to effectively fulfill development objectives
- Manage projects for coordination and tasking of other I/S resources, and serve as the technical lead for interfacing with end users. Follow full-life cycle methodology and accompanying documentation, including, but not limited to, developing feasibility studies, Requirements Scope Documents, Proof of concept, prototyping, various Q/A walkthroughs, project estimates and project reporting/tracking
- Maintain technical skill set across a broad range of software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities and networks
- Develop SharePoint and C#.net applications as well as create consumable Web services that interface with various components within a Health Information Exchange (HIE)
- Oversee deployment, change control, and Q/A of applications and services, responding to failure and performance events in the system as a whole and taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of the problem
- Proactively seek solutions to fulfill business needs and to resolve ongoing system issues
- Develop and present comprehensive presentations of proposed systems to both technical and non-technical audiences. Respond to system usage questions, and conduct training when necessary to enable users to maximize their use of developed systems
- Assist in development and mentoring of the department’s programming staff to ensure that standards, procedures and development methodology are followed and that resource potential is realized
Desired Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required

A minimum of 7-8 years of systems and programming experience, with 4 years of Web development experience and 2-3 years of SharePoint implementations development is required. 6 months to one year of SharePoint 2010 experience is highly desirable

Experience building a logical architecture design for SharePoint

Experience designing a security plan for SharePoint based on the principle of least-privilege

Have created authentication plans for SharePoint that meet defined business requirements

Experience creating a corporate taxonomy plan for a SharePoint environment and enable consumption of the terms within the term store

Translate business requirements for content management into an Enterprise Content Management solution
- Must have developed plans for maintaining and monitoring a SharePoint deployment
- Experience with building applications in an SOA environment is desirable
- Must have extensive experience in using a formal life cycle methodology that includes strong emphasis on analysis, design, testing, and support documentation
- Should be experienced with Microsoft technology (SharePoint, C#.NET, SQL Server), APIs, and full-lifecycle Microsoft application development
- Must have proficiency with HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, ASP/JSP, Java, XML, Web services and WSDL
- Experience with WebSphere, Linux, Oracle 10g, and Oracle HTB is desirable
- Must have a strong knowledge of systems security and have previously developed secure applications
- Experience with LDAP and with identity management software is preferred
- Must have previous success in leading small to medium-sized projects, i.e., 350-1,500 hours
- Excellent communication skill in technical and non-technical forums is vital to this position
