Senior Application Developer - .NET
emids is currently seeking a Senior Application Developer to design, build and test software solutions to new or existing systems for a major managed care organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews and contributes to the definition of functional requirements
- Provides technical advice and hands-on assistance to other, technologists and users.
- Identifies technical options for providing operational/production support or resolving applications or system problems
- Reviews system performance and recommends approaches improving overall performance
- Maintains and updates documentation of existing systems
Develops software including:
- Participate in detailed project planning and design reviews.
- Translates functional requirements into technical requirements
- Writes code (Including “Patches”) to meet requirements defined by project manager/technology consultant
- Reviews and analyzes software metrics such as complexity and performance
Tests and implements software including:
- Creates and executes systems (e.g. Integration Testing and Network Testing) and user test plans in line with application delivery minimum deliverables and other standards
- Reviews test results
- Support implementation and conversion activities
Advances software design and development procedures including:
- Ensures software fits within architectural framework and adheres to technology standards.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in Applications Development
- Has shown an ability to develop technical skills in others with less experience
- Has worked within a set of development standards and structured methodology
Experience:
- BS degree or related experience
- 3 + years xperience using C#
- Unit testing methodologies
- Web Portal Concepts, experience with building web services utilizing WCF.
- Agile/Scrum development methodology
- Strong knowledge of GUI design principles
- Understand the OOP
