PeopleSoft Developer

As a member of the PeopleSoft Development team your responsibilities will include but are not limited to technical design/development, requirements analysis, implementation and maintenance activities in support of application enhancements and problem resolution. You must be able to handle both new development and maintenance projects effectively and efficiently.

Specific duties include:

  • Planning and estimation activities and effort involved in developing and delivering agreed change requests for application enhancements
  • Working directly with the PeopleSoft Functional Analysts to document functional specifications for project development/ change requests
  • Documenting technical specifications and building custom solutions as required in response to agreed upon business requirements and functional specifications, meeting customer expectations
  • Learning new applications, tools and technologies as required
  • Actively participate in the use and establishment of Software Development and Coding standards
  •  Understanding and following established change control procedures
  • Providing technical and application expertise in the assessment and resolution of operational system incidents & technical issues  

The following Requirements must be met to be considered for this position:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related computer discipline preferred. 
    2 to 4 years of PeopleSoft development and support experience in the following: Peoplesoft 8.48 with experience/involvement in upgrading to 8.52
    Experience with CRM is a preferred, but MUST know how to do custom development in a Peoplesoft environment, b/c of diverse customer base.  Needs someone to come in and see the “big picture”... apply things across the board, a strong application designer, able to produce custom development, and component interface, not single threaded designs that are not reusable
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills that non-technical end users can understand is a MUST
  • The ability to create positive and professional business relationships with internal and external vendors
  • Proven experience with some or most of the following tools:  Application Designer, PeopleCode, Workflow, Application Engine, Components Interface, File Layouts, PS Query, Application Messaging, Application Packaging, Expertise in retrofitting customized objects (components, pages, fields, records, modified PeopleCode, etc…)
  • Experience with both Oracle and SQL Server is a plus
