Manager of Quality Assurance
emids is partnered with one of the largest and fastest-growing coordinated care plans on their search for a Manager of
Quality Assurance. The QA Manager will not only oversee the QA group, but will serve in a business capacity as well.
The QA Manager will formulate and define scope and objectives of the QA Department, through research and fact-finding
combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. This role also devises or
modifies procedures to solve problems considering testing, testing tools and limitations, delivery time and form of
desired results. Any many instances this may include the analysis of business and user needs, documentation and
translation.
Required Skills:
- Will define, develop, and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans, test cases, and
other QA assessments
- Have a background and understanding of healthcare insurance domain
- Provide accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and
foreseeable dependencies
- Provide solutions needed to enhance the automation suite and automation framework capabilities
- Responsible for test case generation, and test execution as well as reviewing of tester’s work
- May lead teams or taskforces, or may serve as project manager
- Develop and maintain good professional working relationships, especially within the test team and with
those who interact regularly with the test team
Required Experience:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Business or related discipline
- At least five years experience in Quality Assurance.
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Proficiency working with HP Quality Center and working knowledge of Quality Center API's
Preferred Requirements
- Healthcare experience, preferably claims or medical management
- An understanding of ICD-9 or ICD-10 procedures and diagnosis codes
- Familiarity with various types and sources of health care information, including financial and patient-level data files
