Integration Specialist
Position Summary:
This position provides analysis, design, development, implementation and support of data integration technologies.
The Integration Specialist must be highly proficient in the use of HL7 v2.x and v3.0 CCD/CCR and other CDA documents
for Healthcare data interchange. Also must have significant experience with ANSI X12 834, 837P and 837I Healthcare
EDI transactions. The experience with both HL7 and ANSI X12 messaging must include mapping and Healthcare
terminologies remediation. The Experience with Microsoft’s BizTalk integration engine application is preferred.
Functions:
- Define requirements, analyze, design, enhance, and develop data integration systems to efficiently and effectively fulfill corporate initiatives and planning/development objectives.
- Enhance the design of current data integration systems, thereby broadening system capabilities to meet the changing needs of the business.
- Manage projects for coordination and tasking of other IT and business resources that are part-time team members. This includes managing and creation of all SDLC artifacts and system documentation as required.
- Maintain technical skill set across a broad range of data integration technologies, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities and networks.
- Develop and present IT and business management comprehensive presentations of proposed systems.
- Map and transform HL7 and ANSI X12 messages for integration into existing systems.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or ten years IT experience is required.
- Minimum five to seven years of data integration experience.
- Must have proven analytical, design and mapping skills, with expert knowledge of general EDI data integration technologies and techniques.
- Five or more years of experience mapping and translating HL7 v2 and v3 documents are required.
- Must provide a documented certification in HL7 v2 and v3 from a recognized granting authority.
- Experience with Microsoft BizTalk Integration Engine experience desirable.
- Previous experience with administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 DBMS is preferred.
