Clinical (Business/System) Analyst
Job Summary:
In this position, you will serve as a liaison between clinical end users and technical team within the organization, providing support and project requirements, and working in conjunction with the PM team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs definition of system scope and objectives in conjunction with Project Manager
- Deep understanding of clinical decision making and use of application management tools by nurses and MDs
- Ability to analyze business/user needs and proactively suggest improvements in process and systems. Coordinate these improvements with Lean/Six Sigma team and IT delivery team
- Documents user/customer specifications
- Identifies enhancements to existing technology and corresponding workflow to improve productivity, performance and quality for clinical operations
- Maintains and reports on clinical IT projects, priorities, issues and new technologies
- Monitors interdisciplinary plans for clinical IT projects, keeping interdisciplinary staff informed of progress and plans
- Data analytics skills; quick learner to adopt some standard SQL query analysis, data mapping; able to troubleshoot data/process flow
- Works with business owners, developers and project stakeholders to gather requirements, write both high-level and detailed-level requirements
- Identify and plan key milestones from requirements gathering to project completion
- Use a consistent defined format to document rules and requirements
- Identify and document business processes, systems and requirements
- Researches, identifies, develops and documents solutions to problems
- Interacts with user/customer to analyze, define, test and implement systems. Creates and manages all required SDLC documentation
- Assists with user/customer training
Qualifications:
- Utilization of Management application tools
- Understanding of in depth workflows with a desire to work with cutting edge technologies
- 3 (+) years as a business/systems analyst, preferably in a clinical setting
- Understanding of clinical terminology, to provide user requirements from other clinical professionals
Education:
- Bachelors degree and/or RN preferred (sub experience for education)
